اشتهر تطريز قضاء يافا بدقته وأناقته، فالغرز منمقة جميلة والرسومات انيقة معبرة، والثوب غاية في الإتقان، مما يبرر شدة إعتزاز نساء المنطقة بأثوابهن. الوحدات الزخرفية في الثوب محاطة في معظم الحالات برسومات لشجرة السرو تماما كما كانت أشجار السرو تحيط ببيارات البرتقال ، قد حاكت العديد من القرى هذا التطريز ابرزها: سلمة، السافرية، يازور، النعاني وصرفند
يعود شكل التطريز الى مرحلة القرن التاسع عشر اي قبل ان يتم التعديل عليه على مر السنين
The embroidery of the Jaffa district was renowned for its precision and elegance. The stitches were beautifully ornate, the designs elegant and expressive, and the dresses were exquisitely crafted, justifying the region's women's intense pride in their dresses. In most cases, the decorative motifs on the dresses were surrounded by drawings of cypress trees, just as cypress trees once surrounded orange groves. Many villages embroidered this embroidery, most notably: Salama, Al-Safiriya, Yazur, Al-Na'ani, and Sarafand.
The embroidery style dates back to the 19th century, before it was modified over the years.
